Spotted by then Chelsea scout Gwyn Williams playing in an Under 20
international tournament, Lassana was offered a Chelsea trial and
impressed sufficiently to become the quiet addition to the squad in the
summer of 2005.

The Paris-born 20 year-old was signed from French second division club Le
Havre where he had been named their Young Player of the Year in 2004. He
specialises in performing the defensive midfield function that has become
synonymous with Claude Makelele although there are differences. Lassana is
left-footed and not shy to try his luck with the odd shot from distance.

20歲的他出生在巴黎，之前效力法乙球隊勒哈弗雷，還當選2004年最佳年輕球員。他
的專長是打後腰，特點跟隊中的馬克萊萊相仿，當然二者也有不同的地方，拉薩納是

He was given a taste of first team action during the 2005 pre-season tour
of the United States and did not look out of place. After two substitute
appearances in the Champions League, a full debut was handed out against
Huddersfield in the FA Cup. Lassana was man-of-the-match.

2005年夏天的美國季前賽他得到了鍛鍊的機會，表現也不俗。之後在歐冠聯賽上兩度
替補出場，並在足總盃對哈德斯菲爾德時先發上陣，賽後獲選為單場最佳。


The six first team appearances that followed last season continued to
impressive and had Jose Mourinho predicting a golden career ahead.

Lassana has become a regular for France Under 21s, playing in the European
Championships semi-final in June 2006.

目前迪亞拉已是法國Ｕ21的主力，也參加了2006年的Ｕ21歐洲國家盃。
