Wycombe land Pettigrew

Wycombe's bid for promotion from League Two has been bolstered by the loan
acquisition of Chelsea defender Adrian Pettigrew.
The 20-year-old central defender has been brought to Adams Park for the
rest of the season to ease an injury headache which has seen regular
defensive pairing Will Antwi and Mike Williamson sidelined through injury.
Wycombe boss Paul Lambert, who took his side to the Carling Cup semi-final
before elimination to Chelsea, has already this season raided Stamford
Bridge for the services of Anthony Grant in a similar arrangement.
"Hopefully I can repeat what Granty has done because he's made an
impression," Pettigrew told the club's official website. "Personality wise
we're a bit different but I'd like to think I'm a good player and I can be
a good asset to the team."
Lambert has also moved to bring in non-league striker Matthew
Barnes-Holmer from Willenhall Town.
