Carlo Cudicini and Damien Duff have lost the race to be fit in time
for tomorrow morning’s visit of Arsenal and they are joined as absentees
by Hernan Crespo who is unwell.
The groin injury that saw Carlo Cudicini withdrawn at half-time on
Sunday has not healed sufficiently while although Damien Duff’s achilles
strain may ease enough for him to feature in Stuttgart next Wednesday, he
is not ready for this weekend.
Hernan Crespo today recorded a temperature of 39° and so is too ill
to be considered.
There is better news on John Terry. He pulled out of England’s
midweek game with a shin injury but trained well this morning and could
be fit enough to face Arsenal.
