BE AFRAID OF CHELSEA, WARNS CHOPPER

Ron 'Chopper' Harris believes the rest of the Champions League should
be scared of Chelsea.
The former Stamford Bridge favourite has told Sky Sports News that the
1-0 win at Stuttgart will have sent a message out to the likes of Real
Madrid, Juventus and AC Milan.
Claudio Ranieri's side are now third favourites for the tournament
behind Real and Arsenal and Harris says that despite their recent poor
showings against the Gunners, they should rightly be regarded as contenders
for the Champions League.
"Any side that is left in the competition and are going to come up
against Chelsea, are going to be a little bit worried," he said. "Obviously
Arsenal are going well, but Manchester United seem to be on a bit of a
downer.
"But if I was in one of the other sides left in the latter stages, the
one side I would fear is Chelsea.
"I just think that with the type of players they've got, they seem to
be better geared for the European campaign than domestic football.
"A lot of the lads are used to playing in these European ties and seem
better adapted to it than they do to a Saturday in the domestic league."
Harris also gave his backing to Claudio Ranieri, but admitted the
Italian cannot do right for doing wrong at the moment.
The self-confessed Tinkerman made four changes in Stuttgart, and while
he has come under fire from former Chelsea players for rotating his
star-studded squad, Harris says he is still the right man for the job.
"Obviously nobody will say anything in the press today, that he's
tinkered with the side," he said. "He has tinkered with the side and made
four changes, but nobody says anything. If they'd have got beaten yesterday,
people would have most probably had a pop at him.
"I think the fella has done a good job so far and I'm sure that, given
time, he will turn things around for Chelsea and make them into a tremendous
outfit."
