Thoughts turn to City

     Chelsea head to Manchester for the second instalment in the four part
Christmas and New Year programme with the Fulham win under our belt and a
distinct feeling there is unfinished business left over from last season.
Not only were Man City the only team to inflict a Premiership defeat
during Chelsea's championship season, they were the only team to prevent
Mourinho's men from scoring at all when they added a 0-0 draw at the
Bridge to their 1-0 win up north.

     (又來到曼城，這是場復仇之戰。)


     The memories of last season are of course still fresh for the Chelsea
manager.“They have a good team and they gave us last season a lot of
problems,” he says as he looks at the challenge ahead. “In both games
they had a giant in the goal who saved everything and performed like the
best keeper in the world. But they have a good team, not just David James,
and they will give us a game. But we will go there with our spirit and we
trust that we can get a result.”

     The individual story surrounding Wednesday night's game will be the
first return of Shaun Wright-Phillips to Man City since he became that
club's record sale in the summer. Wright-Phillips was given a start
against Fulham but only lasted the first-half when Mourinho decided it was
imperative to push Joe Cole further forward. The manager has some words on
his newest winger's situation.

    “Players have to understand this is about timings and performances so
the players in better condition, the players playing better, are the
players on the pitch. But the best thing for him [Wright-Phillips] is that
in this period I'm going to rotate players. So he will play again for sure
and get confidence from good performances. He is a good player, we know
that, but he is in a team where we have for the same position Joe Cole,
Duff and Robben and it is hard.”

     (雖然狀態最好的球員才能留在場上，但最近要輪換，小賴特還是會上場。)


     Mourinho has also indicated there will be rotation of the central
striker. “I am very happy with my two strikers, Crespo and Drogba. They
are two different players and I have to choose the best games for each one
of them. Of course in this period of matches, I am thinking about rotating
them and playing two games each.”

     (兩名中鋒都很優秀，但輪換仍然要進行。)


     Missing the Fulham game due to injury were Damien Duff, Asier Del
Horno and Ricardo Carvalho; and due to illness Michael Essien.

     (上一場達夫德爾奧諾卡瓦略都受傷，埃辛生病。)


    “Duff was almost ready [for the Fulham game],” begins Mourinho's
latest fitness report. “Carvalho has something in the achilles tendon
like Duff had but Duff is at the end of his recovery and Carvalho is in
the middle of his. For sure Carvalho will play games in this Christmas
period but the next one in Manchester and the one against Birmingham, I am
not sure.”

     (現在達夫可以上場了，卡瓦略還在康復中，不確定什麼時候才能上場。)


     Joe Cole's fifth domestic yellow card of the season, picked up
against Fulham, means he will be suspended for the game at West Ham on
January 2nd. He will be available for the game at Man City and the home
game against Birmingham.

     (小喬已經領到了第五張黃牌，但1月2號對西漢姆才會禁賽。)
