Gallas out of Barcelona game

Jose Mourinho has confirmed that William Gallas' hamstring strain
will prevent his participation in the home leg of the Champions League tie
against Barcelona.
The versatile defender suffered the injury in the first-half against
Middlesbrough ten days ago. With just over twenty-four hours to go before
the big European kick-off, Mourinho announced:
“Gallas cannot play - but we have other players. I trust the other
players and we have a big squad because sometimes players are injured. I
hope Gallas can play not against Portsmouth because that is too soon but
in the next game after that against West Bromwich.”
There was better news regarding another full-back option, Asier Del
Horno, who confirmed his return to fitness. “I'm absolutely fine,” he
reported. “I have not been playing the last couple of games but I have
been training flat-out and I am in perfect condition.”
