預備隊本季第一次使用433陣型 Joe Tillen 、 Jimmy Smith 、 Jack Watkins 、 James Younghusband 各進一求 本場比賽也是預備隊治療師 Andy Rolls 最後一次服務球隊 下季他將轉到瓦特福德 而預備隊週六將對上 Colchester 一軍 http://www.chelseafc.com/article.asp?hlid=294561 Dorchester Town Reserves 0 Chelsea Reserves 4 Wednesday, Jul 27, 2005 A comfortable victory at Dorchester Town on Tuesday evening set the reserves up for the big pre-season game against Colchester first team on Saturday. The game saw the team use a 4-3-3 shape for the first time this pre- season. Coach Mick McGiven explained: “It was a good work-out which enabled us to give players games who needed them, and we tried to adapt to different systems. “It was a testimonial for Dorchester’s Andy Harris who had to retire through injury, and between three and four thousand people turned out, so it was pretty successful.” Former Chelsea Reserves physio Andy Rolls also turned out one last time to say goodbye to his charges. This season he will be physio for Watford. Joe Tillen opened the scoring, getting in on goal with good movement. Jimmy Smith made it two following a good cut-back by Filipe Morais, arguably the goal of the game. Jack Watkins made it three and James Younghusband, who had moved into midfield when Dean Smith went on, got the fourth. In the last minute following a fall by substitute Joe Keenan under challenge of a tackle, Steven Watt saw his penalty saved. Mick scorned: “Watty got battered afterwards. Jamie Simmonds had carried the ball to the spot but he got bullied out of it!” A successful night, and good preparation for the weekend. “It will be a different game at the weekend,” Mick warned. “I’m looking forward to that." by Neil Barnett -- 怎麼也想不到預備隊會連勝,而且都是大比分獲勝.....真是有進步了? -- " If I quit now, they win.
