Youth team jets out and waits

The youth teams flies out to its second consecutive end of season summer
camp in Marbella today not knowing whether it has won Group A of the FA
Academy Under 18s League or not.
The boys finished their campaign on Friday at Stamford Bridge with a 1-0
win against Cardiff. That put them four points ahead of Southampton who
had two games remaining.
Southampton beat Charlton 4-0 on Saturday, their first win in six, and now
need a draw from their final game, also at home to Cardiff, next Saturday
to overtake us.
If we win the Group, our national play-off semi-final will be at home. A
final would also be at home.
Chelsea made it eight wins from the last nine games on Friday with the
first goal of the season by left-back Ryan Bertrand. Liam Bridcutt also
hit woodwork. Substitute Jimmy Smith was booked.
Manager Brendan Rodgers said: “It was a terrific end and a fitting one,
to finish the season with a good win and a decent performance. It's been
a terrific year in terms of development of all our young players.”
