As he looks to his team to complete a home league season of won 13,
drawn 6, lost 0 by beating Everton, Jose Mourinho has been discussing the
foundations of fortress Stamford Bridge.

An unbeaten sequence that will stretch over three complete seasons should
defeat be avoided on Sunday has underpinned the high league placings
during his time in charge and as he told Chelsea TV, rarely has he feared
the run would be broken.

'I can't say at Chelsea we have an incredible atmosphere at home because
that is not the culture of our crowd,' Mourinho said. 'But there is a big
relation between our crowd and the players. The players feel comfortable
at home and they feel always supported and I think result after result
brings that confidence.

的聯繫，他們知道自己是被支持的，而且越來越有自信。"
'We play always to win at home, no doubts about it, and at home we are
always dominant. I don't remember at home when we were lucky to get a
result. I think only against Aston Villa last season where we draw 1-1 and
we were losing and we scored in the last five or ten minutes. Normally
Chelsea at home is dominant.
"在主場我們只想贏球，而且在主場我們通常都是支配比賽的一方，我只記得上賽季
對維拉那場比較危險，到最後時刻才扳平比分。"
'To be successful at home is important and the players believe and the
crowd believes.
"在主場獲得勝利是很重要的，球員相信這點，球迷也是。"
'But I would change three draws for two victories and a defeat,' Mourinho
quickly pointed out, 'because points are more important than an unbeaten
record.
"不過我寧願用兩勝一敗來換三連平，因為積分比不敗紀錄重要多了。"
'But at this moment where the Everton game has no meaning in terms of
position in the Premiership, I would get the draw and I would get the
record for all of us, the players, the staff, the crowd - a record that
belongs to the Bridge.'
"但現在聯賽積分已經不重要了，所以我們要全力維持紀錄。"
So it's one eye firmly on the chance to match on Sunday Liverpool's
all-time top flight 63 game home run.
'We want to finish the season well and the last time we lost was in
January, when our team was half of a team. We are doing okay and this is a
moment to think seriously about the new record. We can have it just for us
so I think at this moment it is also a target to get the result against
Everton.'

Mourinho's personal indomitable run stretches back far into his Porto
days. He hasn't seen a team he selected lose a home league match since
February 2002. Paulo Ferreira and Ricardo Carvalho share much of that run
with him.

'What has been important is having a strong team and the way he prepares
for every game. That is the key,' reckons Ferreira on the Mourinho touch.
'It is important for the supporters to break the record of Liverpool.'

With six starts out of the last seven games, the Portuguese international
appears to have reclaimed the right-back position as the season reaches
its end.

'It is what I love to do, to be there playing and I feel happy,' he says.
