Jose Mourinho broke with convention after the top-of-the-table draw at Old
Trafford by choosing names who had not even appeared on the team sheet as
his real men-of-the-match.

Unimpressed by the TV coverage's choice of Manchester United midfielder
Michael Carrick as the star performer of the game, the Chelsea manager
gave his own verdict.

Though goalscorer Ricardo Carvalho and the lung-burning display put in by
Ashley Cole also drew praise from their boss, it was Chelsea's team of
doctors, physios and masseurs who were given the special mention.

The Portuguese central defender, who headed Chelsea's 68th minute
equaliser, had overcome, with help, an ankle injury sustained in the West
Ham game just eight days earlier.

'I think Carvalho and Ashley Cole had unbelievable matches,' enthused
Mourinho, who also commended referee Howard Webb for his game.

player. The introduction of Robben for Geremi at the break and later on
the fresh legs of Joe Cole for Shevchenko livened it up.

The luxury of such attacking substitutes was denied Ferguson who had to
make do with defenders and midfielders as his potential replacements.

Mourinho insisted the return of the injured Solskjaer and Park would ease
greatly that concern for our title rivals before suggesting the fixture
calendar was starting to look good for his reigning champions.
