Chelsea's Spy In The Camp has been bringing inside news, banter and comment for
20 years in the matchday programme, on Chelsea TV and now on the web. Today he
follows the team back from Porto to Surrey and beyond.

The game at Porto ended at just after 9.30pm last night.

The team bus - a hired Portuguese one - was parked directly outside the
dressing room, but to get to it the players had to walk round an area
called the Mixed Zone.

It was simply a pathway barricaded out by Uefa with journalists behind the
barriers, and interviews could be held there. Broadcasters and writers
called to players as they passed.

John Terry hobbled out on crutches with his lower right leg in a protective
shoe and didn't talk to anyone. The most in-demand players were Frank

The coach left at just after 10.45pm and had a police escort to the airport,
arriving soon after 11pm. The airport was virtually empty at that hour.

The aeroplane took off just after midnight. A chartered executive jet, the
players and management sat at the front, the administration behind them,
sponsors and corporate travellers behind them, and travelling media at the
back.

It landed in Gatwick at 2.10am, 20 minutes after the hoped-for arrival. At the
bottom of the steps on the tarmac stood an official who checked the passports,
and parked beside where the aeroplane had stopped was the normal team coach.
There was no going into the terminal. The players and management boarded and
set off for Cobham.

They arrived there not long before 3am and quickly headed for home. Most of
them, therefore, got to bed between 3.30am and 4am.

Training today was at 1.30pm. By then John Terry had been for a scan which
showed the injury not to be an extreme one, and he was immediately back to
the medical room at Cobham having treatment alongside the likes of Joe
Cole, Khalid Boulahrouz and Jack Cork.

without exacerbating his hamstring condition, and Ashley Cole who
played an hour in the reserves last night was able to do a warm-
down as if he had travelled to Portugal.

So few players needed a full training session that the management decided to
join them in a game, so Jose Mourinho, Steve Clarke, Silvino, Brito, Andre
Villas, and masseur Mauro Doimi were pitting their wits with or against
the likes of Shaun Wright-Phillips, Geremi, Paulo Ferreira, Magnus
Hedman and Carlo Cudicini.
沒有多少人需要接受完全訓練，所以教練組決定跟他們一起踢場比賽，所以何塞、克拉
克、Silvino、Brito、 Andre Villas以及按摩師Mauro Doimi和小萊特、格雷米、費雷拉
、海德曼、庫迪奇尼這些人展開了較量。
Hedman played in the field and wore a Lampard shirt with Number 8 on it. He
claimed that's why he was in the winning team. Several of the losing side
claimed the reason Magnus was in the winning team was the refereeing of Rui
Faria. Rui happily confirmed this.
海德曼到場上去踢比賽，穿了件蘭帕德的8號球衣。他聲稱正是因為這件球衣他這邊勝
出了。而輸的那邊則說海德曼贏了是因為裁判Rui Faria。Rui Faria很高興的確認這一點
。
所以說是帽哥的黑哨讓教練組贏球的??!! @_@
By 4pm just about everyone had left, and tomorrow training is back to the
normal morning time before the press conference is held ahead of the
Carling Cup Final.
下午4點的時候大家都離開了，明天的訓練重新回到正常的早晨時間，在聯賽杯決賽的
賽前新聞發布會舉行之前開始。
The squad trains at Cobham again on Saturday before travelling to Cardiff.
週六在趕往加迪夫之前球隊仍會在科巴姆進行訓練。
