CECH TARGETS MISSING TROPHY
切赫：要彌補國內比賽唯一遺憾：足總杯

The third round demolition of Macclesfield came a fortnight too early for Petr
Cech so as he prepares to begin his FA Cup campaign this afternoon, our
goalkeeper has a new winners' medal in his sights.

'I have been two-and-a-half years in England. I've won the Carling Cup, I've
won twice the Premiership and I haven't won the FA Cup,' he acknowledges.

。"他承認。
'That is what it means to me - the FA Cup is the only trophy I am missing in
England. So I hope that this year we can finally go through to play the Final.

'I knew about the history of the FA Cup before I came here,' Cech continues,
'but because I was not in England, I could not really see the atmosphere with
the supporters and everyone really enjoying these type of games.

'Of course in Czech Republic there is a Czech Cup as well but I would say that
every team is just concentrating on the main championship and not on the Cup.

'This is one thing I really like in England. Every type of game, whether it
is the Carling Cup or the FA Cup, every game has a really great atmosphere and
everyone wants to be in the Final.'

First step towards an FA Cup Final appearance is to overcome League One
opposition in Nottingham Forest, hopefully as comfortably as League Two
Wycombe were dealt with in the last game.

'I don't know about the Forest team as much as I know about other teams
because I have never played against them,' says Cech.

'But the story of the club is great, one of the best teams in the past. They
have had really difficult years but now they are fighting for promotion again
and maybe they see the FA Cup as something where they can remind fans what the
club is all about.

'The last game we won 4-0 with a clean sheet. We played well in defence and I
hope we can keep going and Sunday's game will be the same.'

For Cech, every game at the moment presents a double challenge - that of
gaining the right result plus proving to the world he is still the keeper he
was before his October head injury.

'There was a lot of pressure,' he admits, 'and it was not easy to be out for
three months and to come back in a game when you do not have any central
defenders and you play Liverpool.

'But I have felt already at my best against Wycombe because I had the same
feelings on the pitch that I had before.

'I felt really well in terms of physical strength and in reaction speed and
these type of things, I might be even better than before because I have been
working hard for long periods to come back, so that made me stronger.'
