Tonight sees the last opportunity to watch Chelsea’s young reserve
side in action at home before they enter the Christmas break.
Watford are the visitors to Aldershot in the first return fixture of
the season, Chelsea having lost 1-0 at Vicarage Road in the campaign
opener back in August.
It is a familiar looking side seeking revenge for that result apart
from 17 year-old Ed Brand who makes his first start for the reserves in
place of Dean Smith at right-back.
Philip Younghusband retains his place in attack having made his own
full debut in the last game while Filipe Oliveira and Nuno Morais both
return after missing the trip to Southampton through international duty.
Lenny Pidgeley takes over in goal from Yves Ma Kalambay so will face
his loan club of last season.
Watford, currently 10th in the Barclays Premiership Reserve League
South have won one of their six away games. Chelsea in 13th are looking
for our first home win. We won this fixture 1-0 last season thanks to a
Joe Keenan penalty.

The game kicks-off at 7pm at Aldershot Town FC’s Recreation Ground,
High St. Aldershot. Admission is ￡5 for adults, ￡2 for OAPs/juvs or free
to season ticket holders.
There is full live coverage on Chelsea TV beginning at 6-30pm and the
game will be followed by a phone-in with Kerry Dixon looking back on the
reserve action, a very good weekend for the first team and any other
Chelsea business.
