Needless to say, opposing manager Kevin Keegan didn’t quite see it
that way.
“We deserved a point here. It would have been a travesty if, with the
work we put in today, David James hadn’t made that great save in the
dying seconds. It was world class — point blank range and it’s Frank
Lampard who can’t miss at the moment. Everyone must have thought he’d
scored. When I saw him pulling the trigger, I thought: ‘Oh no!’ So
we’ve had a bit of luck.”
Admitting relief at the absence of Arjen Robben through injury,
Keegan added: “The fact they didn’t have Robben in the side today makes
a big, big difference to the way they play, so although you don’t want to
see any player injured, you’re quite happy when they’re not playing
against you. Him and Duff are a terrific pair. I don’t think Robben’s
absence is going to stop Chelsea getting where they’re going to go.
“I think where Jose Mourinho is fortunate, where I’m not going to
feel too sorry for him, is that he has got people like Joe Cole, Tiago on
the bench today. Drogba wasn’t even on there. He’s got strength in depth
here and you need that.
“I haven’t got anything like that,” continued the City manager, “so
for us, it’s a points win today although we get a point each. In boxing
terms, we’ve won on points here today with the side I’ve played.”
“I think Chelsea will probably win the Championship and this might be
a big point for them here today because they could have lost.”

納在週一。還有耶誕賽程，我們打完比賽休息一天，接著又有比賽，然後休息一天之
後又有比賽，但他們卻能打一天休息兩天，然後再打一天再休息兩天。"
"問題在於是誰控制了賽程？是誰決定我們要在週六跟埃佛頓打，然後他們卻能在
週日和週一比賽？"
最後回到本場比賽的話題， "這很簡單，卻爾西很不開心的走入球員通道，曼城
卻歡欣鼓舞。我們不滿意比賽結果，所以我們不開心，他們很滿意比賽結果，所以他
們很開心。"
