This was a truly dreadful game of football. The poor bloke next to me in the
press box had to file his copy stating who would be crowned man of the match
some 20 minutes before the final whistle and it was an impossible task.
While Chelsea created the better openings throughout, both of these star-
studded teams were fluffing their lines and the best we could come up with for
star billing was John Terry.
Chelsea's skipper turned in another immaculate display at the heart of the
defence, but the game in front of him with a shambles and while Blues boss
Jose Mourinho claims he was pleased with his team's display, I would sum up
their performance as disappointing at best.
Drogba wasted the best of the first half chances as he crashed a shot onto the
underside of the bar, but apart from that, the forwards were feeding off scraps.
If they win the Premiership, it may be a step back for the game as their aim is
to grind out wins rather than turn on the style, but they are getting the job
done and, to be fair, Chelsea's winning goal was a work of art.
Soccernet's Insider has noted the inventive set-plays employed by Mourinho so
far this season and as Lampard pulled a right wing free-kick back into the
path of an onrushing Didier Drogba, his finish was clinical.
MAN OF THE MATCH: John Terry - He didn't have much to do, but looked classy
throughout. With Rio Ferdinand back in the England reckoning, Terry may now
take his game up a level and Chelsea will benefit from that.
REF VIEW: Mark Halsey - Had a tough call to make on a potential handball by
Terry, but TV replays suggested it was outside the box and may not have
been deliberate.
INSIDER QUESTION: Why don't Middlesbrough wear white numbers on their shirts?
The black figures are impossible to see from more than 10 yards.
FOOD WATCH: Don't buy a sandwich at Darlington station unless you have a decent
private health care plan.
VERDICT: Chelsea may not look like champions, but they remain on Arsenal's
tails and if they do click into gear, anything is possible.

防守好,中場也很有組織,只是最近一到門前全都鳥掉..這樣10/03很令人擔憂....

事實上,第一次覺得費雷拉看起來不呆,積極往前長傳助攻,且都很有效
進攻和退防都看得到他,應該說是越打越好,
不過,頭髮該剪了...套句台語"蓋頭蓋臉"有礙個人運勢
老大說費雷拉這球員很少受傷...如此一來,小黑要出賽有困難,改打其他位置看看
