儘管獲得了12個角球，但是藍軍在痛苦的上半場仍然破門無方，莫里尼奧給他的
球隊兩個選擇。
"中場休息時我告訴球員們，這個時刻你必須相信自己，你可以打出王者之氣，在
壓力下度過難關，大膽的打球，心裡只想著贏球。或是你可以選擇很舒服寫意的狀態
，好好享受生活，直到賽季結束，手上連一座獎盃也沒有。"
顯然藍軍選擇了前者，而老大用凱子換下堤亞戈，使用四個前鋒的賭博，也在本
場最有價值球員羅本攻破埃佛頓的龜陣後得到回報。
"對方打了一場保守但是卻不錯的比賽，他們知道他們在防守上的潛力：有高的球
員、有壯的球員、有經驗豐富和難纏的球員，他們讓我們感覺非常的不好受，通常在
這種類型的比賽裡你無法創造出很多的機會。"
"羅本適時的降臨人間，因為對手有許多空間來進行反擊，所以我們的打法有點冒
險，但是球員們堅持住自己的信念，他們幹得不錯，我們又獲得了一場完封，三分到
手，我想這是我們應得的。"
而雙方的教練一致讚美了羅本在本場比賽的影響力。
"有了羅本我們就是一支完全不同的球隊。" 老大如此說道，隨後謙虛的指出將羅
本帶到斯坦福橋並不是他的功勞。 "首先我要說的是，羅本不是我買的，當我知道他
將身披藍袍後我感到非常高興，但我的確沒有功勞，我不想得到我不應得的讚美。"
"不過他真的是個不可思議的球員，他擁有一切，他的啟動很快，能夠一對一，利
用速度擊敗防守球員，繼在俄羅斯之後他又進了球，他為了球隊而努力，他在防守上
的貢獻也相當不錯。"

Disappointed at losing their unbeaten away record this season, Everton
boss David Moyes explained: “The goal was scored from our free-kick. We
kicked it up the park and they broke on us. Their goal was probably the
first time we had our midfield players spread out. We just couldn't get
back at Robben with his pace.
“Robben and Duff have got a situation where they are able to
eliminate you and take somebody out of the game. In doing that, it can be
like a domino effect. Once they get past one or two, they can then start
picking you off. So you have to decide what way you play against Chelsea
because they’ve got some exceptional individuals but they are also a very
good team.
“If we had ￡12m, we’d buy Robben. But we don’t have ￡12m so you
buy what you can afford. If you can’t buy an Armani, you go and buy Marks
& Spencer’s!”
The Scot admitted that, prior to conceding the goal, he thought his
side would hang on to earn at least a point.
"We looked as if we’d done a good job at containing them. We had a
couple of chances ourselves - probably had the best chance of the game and
missed it. When you come here, you’ve got to take your chances.
“It was a great performance for our players to come here and compete
against Chelsea. They were finding it a struggle to break us down. They
went four up front in the end because they felt that they weren’t going
to get it and it suited us better when they went that way. I was quite
happy.”
