    特里下半場剛開始三分鐘內的兩記奪命頭球成為了莫里老大賽後訪問的焦點。


   "約翰在正確的時間出現，不過我總是稱讚開出定位球的人。" 老大如此誇了開出
角球的人一番。 "如果沒有傳球的人，就沒有機會去得分了，而我們目前擁有達夫、
蘭帕德、羅本這三個傳球高手，所以每當我們得到自由球或角球時都能製造危險，約
翰的確是個頭球專家。"


    當然特里更是個好隊長，在描述他的時候，靈感這種詞已被使用到。


   "這要看你對靈感的定義是什麼，他不是個創造機會型的球員，他也不是個能突破
防守然後得分的球員，但他對於進球非常有靈感，他是個贏家。他總是想獲得勝利，
每場比賽都在奮戰，所以當他在球隊裡就能影響其他的隊友，而目前這種精神是非常
強大的。"

  
   "所以這就是我們給了他一份不可思議合約的答案，那是他應得的，他對我們來說
是如此重要，過去幾週我曾說過，他值得他薪水裡的每一分錢，我想這就是最好的解
釋。"


   "我還要誇他，我相信他在球場外的表現一定也是很好的，因為當你發揮出色，而
且每天都準時到達訓練場，抱持愉快的心情努力工作時，你的私人生活也一定同樣順
利，"


    完美主義者莫里尼奧並不想將本場歸為完美的比賽，儘管這是我們本季第四次灌
了對手四球。


   "我不想說我們的表現很完美，因為上半場最後15分鐘我們打得很辛苦，我向對手
致意，因為他們製造了麻煩，在0－1落後時試著創造許多機會。但下半場就非常完美
了，在掌控了時間和空間後，比賽就此終結。下週我可以在卡林盃上進行輪換，讓幾
名球員休息，所以你可以說這是一場60分鐘的比賽，在那之後，只剩下精力、時間和
賽果的掌控。"

    Charlton manager Alan Curbishley agreed with his counterpart’s
breakdown of the game.


   “We had the worst possible start letting a goal in after four minutes
but towards the end of the first-half, we got ourselves in it and could
have scored when we hit the post. But if you go out in the second-half and
you let in two goals in just minutes, 3-0 down at home with a long way to
go, you have it all to do to stop it being an absolute disaster.


   “The first goal was avoidable. Gudjohnsen had no pressure on him
whatsoever and four minutes into the game that doesn’t happen!”


   “Letting two goals in from corners in the space of minutes is just not
us. Normal to lose four goals you are thinking of six or seven chances but
that didn’t really happen so we have been really hit.”


    Curbishley added his own theory on Chelsea’s table-topping form.


    He said: “The one thing that Chelsea have got going for them as
opposed to last year and before is that it is a settled side. There is no
tinkering.


   “The side that plays in League games is roughly the same side every
week. Arsene Wenger doesn’t tinker too much as well. He sticks to the
same team as much as he can and it is the same with Chelsea this year. I
think the players are enjoying it and they are winning.”
