Chelsea 12 points clear of second placed Manchester United.

Assistant manager Steve Clarke is relishing the prospect.
“It’s a good chance for us to put pressure on our immediate
opponents. We had a late training session after the internationals
returned yesterday and I’m pleased to say everyone’s reported
okay.”

gainst Manchester City last Sunday when without Arjen Robben the

“When you look at the game you have to realise we should have won.
The goalkeeper made some great saves and we had some close misses.
The time you have you start worrying is when we stop creating chances.

but also created a few problems for us, a few chances. They work
very hard.

The team looks to build on the English top flight record of nine
League games without conceding. “We work very hard defensively as
a team,” Steve says. “We work very hard at being difficult to beat.
It’s a state of mind, you’ve got to be determined not to lose goals,
not to give the opposition too much leeway.”
