Mourinho wants extra security
Jose Mourinho has insisted on extra security being drafted in for Chelsea's
trip to his former club Porto next week.
The two sides meet in next week's Champions League fixture with Mourinho still
smarting from the incident at Stamford Bridge back in September when a
travelling Porto fan spat at him, and he is determined to avoid another
confrontation.
After that incident, Mourinho wrote to Uefa asking them to take no action
against the side he led to Champions League glory last season, but he is
concerned at making what will be his first trip back to his former club since
leaving them last June.
His lawyer Paul Calcada has asked judicial officials to provide extra security
at the Dragao Stadium.
Despite leading Porto to five trophies in just two seasons, Mourinho received
death threats on the night of last season's Champions League final against
Monaco.
Mourinho said: "The person on the other end told me, 'You think you're the best.
We won't do anything now because you have a final tomorrow'.
"'But as soon as it's over, consider yourself a dead man because we'll get you.
As soon as you get back to Porto, your fate is sealed'."
Porto's fanatical supporters group, Super Dragons, claim the club's former
coach sent suggestive text messages to the wife of one of their members,
allegations Mourinho fiercely denies.
