PSG coach tips Chelsea for Final

Paris St-Germain coach Vahid Halilhodzic admits his team faces a tough
assignment earning vital points from Champions League Matchday Five. But
he insists confidence has been drawn from recent results.
Speaking prior to a training session at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday
evening, the Bosnian said: "我們面對的是目前世界上最好的兩支球隊之一，另一
支是巴塞隆納。"
“He is one of the best technicians around,” Halilhodzic added on the
subject of Jose Mourinho. “Last season we played a friendly against Porto
and I joked with him after about how well they were doing and that they
could win the Champions League. They did just that.
“我認為這個賽季卻爾西有很大的機會進入決賽，甚至贏得冠軍。"

When Chelsea beat PSG 3-0 in the second week of September, the club
from the French capital were still seeking their first win of the season.
Form has improved since including a win over Porto at home and a draw away.
Big rivals Marseille have also been beaten twice in the last month.
On Friday, PSG held French League leaders Lyon to a goalless draw
despite playing with ten men for much of the game.
“The last match we played was an heroic one which won us plaudits for
our organisation in defence,” argued Halilhodzic. “I believe we can do
well tomorrow if we keep the ball, don’t lose it and raise our technical
game.
“In the first game against Chelsea we were not ourselves. The
difference between us isn't that wide. We weren’t in good form then and
we made individual mistakes that were pounced on. I believe we are capable
of doing a lot better. The spirit and state of mind is very good. We have
been strengthened by recent matches.”
PSG midfielder Bernard Mendy was asked if he and his colleagues felt
powerless for the re-match after losing so heavily at home. He replied:
“No because we had a very good game against Porto and I believe we will
readdress the situation. We defended well in recent games and if we defend
on block, you will see that we should be okay.”
While holders Porto can be eliminated from this season’s Champions
League depending on Wednesday night’s results, the runners-up spot behind
Chelsea will not be finalised.
“We need three or four points from the last two games,” stated the PSG
coach. “If CSKA beat Porto it will be difficult for us but qualification
will go to the last match in Paris.
