Jose hails his special R

Jose Mourinho naturally was happy to focus on his match-winner Arjen Robben
when looking back on the game that guarantees Chelsea’s Champions League
involvement into 2005.


“He is an incredible player,” Mourinho said of the man who scored his first
Chelsea goal against CSKA Moscow.

“We didn’t speak so much about him in the last three months, in the same way
at the minute we don’t speak about Drogba because we don’t like to speak
about injured players. We only speak about players who are fit to play.

我們不談受傷球員,所以我們之前三個月都沒有談論羅本,就像我們現在也不會談論德羅巴.


“But we missed Robben a lot the last three months. At the moment maybe 90
minutes is too much for him, the last 10 to 15 minutes is hard but he is an
outstanding player. For us he has brought a different dimension.

我們錯失羅本太多了,以目前狀況,踢滿90分鐘對他而言是太累了,最後10到15分鐘是非常艱
困的,但是他是傑出的球員.對我們而言,他帶來了不同的特質.


“Maybe people think that Robben and Duff together is not possible but it is
possible and it is very difficult for the opponent.”

'很多人覺得羅本和杜夫同時上場是不可能的,但是事實上這是可能的,對於我們的對手而言
是非常棘手低.


At the other end of the pitch the Chelsea manager had words of support for his
young defender Glen Johnson despite the foul that could have led to the score
being levelled.


He said: “I think the penalty was a penalty. I saw it on the big screen and it
looked a penalty. Glen Johnson played very well and he has to play this kind of
match to get experience out of one or two mistakes and of course the penalty
was a mistake. He has to control his position rather than go for the sliding
tackle.

這是點球沒錯,我在大螢幕看到,就是點球.小黑人踢得很好,他踢比賽來吸取經驗來避免出

“To defend like we did it must be a question of 11 players and we had 11

However despite Chelsea’s position and progress being assured, Mourinho is
refusing to countenance thoughts that there are two ‘dead rubbers’ now left
for Chelsea to play in Group H.


“Paris St-Germain and Porto can wait for the same Chelsea,” warned the
reigning European champion coach. “We won’t change our attitude because we
are qualified.

巴黎聖日爾曼和波爾圖將會面對一樣的藍軍,我們不會因此改變我們的態度.


“So if somebody in Moscow thinks that we will play Paris and Porto and it will
be easy for them, they will be mistaken because we want the second best team in
the group to be qualified.”

Whether that team will be CSKA or not remains to be seen. Although their
chances remain healthy, manager Valeriy Gazzaez had no complaint over the
outcome against Chelsea.


He said: “We really lacked international experience and the experience of
playing at such a high level.

我們真的缺乏國際賽事經驗,尤其是這種高水平的國際賽事.


“I don’t have any players to blame, I was satisfied with the conduct of the
game and I believe this was a good lesson for our young players. It was
regrettable but it has some advantages.”

我沒有球員好責備,我對他們比賽的表現都很滿意,我相信這對於年輕球員是上了一課.雖然
有些遺憾的地方,但是我們也得到一些好處.
