The Newcastle v Chelsea FA Cup fifth-round tie goes ahead after a
pitch inspection.
Heavy overnight snowfalls on Tyneside had left a question mark over
the game.
Ground staff spent the morning working hard to clear the pitch ahead
of a 10.30am inspection and despite further snow the game was given
the green light.
No second inspection is planned unless conditions worsen.
