With Didier Drogba almost certain to miss today's home fixture with
Sunderland, Avram Grant insists our other forwards are capable of making a
huge impression against Roy Keane's side.

Grant believes that Drogba's injury is no disaster for Chelsea, and that
there are plenty of other routes from which goals may come.
He said: 'We have other types of striker. The best squad is when you have
four strikers that are different from one another and we are prepared.
This is the reason that Pizarro, Shevchenko and the others are in the
squad.'

Claudio Pizarro has appeared mainly as a substitute since his summer move,
but with Drogba now unlikely to be fit, Pizarro is being tipped by Grant
to fill the Ivorian's boots and begin hitting the net.

'He is a very good player, very technical, and played at a high level with
Bayern Munich,' Grant said on Pizarro. 'He knows how to score and give
assists. He is a good player and I'm sure he will be good for us.'

The Israeli also rejected suggestions that Pizarro had not adapted to the
English game.

'You need to see him in training. You know every player who comes from
other countries to England that it can take them time to get used to the
Premier League, it's not easy,' he reasoned.

'For me it's the most difficult in the world. You see in training he is
better and better.'

There is no guarantee that Pizarro will start the game though, with Andriy
Shevchenko available to play, having played 90 minutes against Derby a
fortnight ago.

的比賽，對德比郡。
Grant recently said that 'everybody needs to respect Shevchenko, as he is
one of the best strikers in the history of football, and belongs to the
team.

'Shevchenko is a great player with a great attitude. When you see him
train you see he is doing his best,' Grant explained.

In spite of Drogba's injury problems, and the admission that Petr Cech had
lost his race to be fit for Sunderland, Grant had pleasing news regarding
the forthcoming returns of Paulo Ferreira and Ricardo Carvalho.

'Carvalho is close, I think next week he will start to train, and the same
with Ferreira,' said Grant.

We are strong favourites to take the three points at the Bridge this
afternoon, but Grant had kind words for his opposite number Roy Keane, who
has been in management for just over a year.

'First he was a great player, one of my favourite players. As a manger
it's not easy to answer this question only from reading papers and seeing
the television, but as far as I see, he has good potential to be a very
