CECH: MY WONDERFUL DAY

在默西塞下雨的週三過去的時候，切赫度過的昨天將永遠在他的記憶中留下不可
磨滅的光明印象。
對我們的守門員來說，他感覺這是生命中最為漫長的一天，這一天起於他的第一
個孩子的降生，止於(如果可以選擇的話)他作為一名切爾西球員確定的第四次盃賽決
賽的位置。在古迪遜公園的聯賽盃半決賽次回合中，埃弗頓為切赫的球門帶來的威脅
是零星的，但當他們真正突破後防線時，他以一系列的撲救證明自己勝任這些挑戰。

Cech eyes European glory

"We are approximately halfway through the season and it is good that we
are still in the running in all four competitions, the Premier League,
Carling Cup, FA Cup and Champions League," Cech told his official website.
"The last 16 of the Champions League is slowly coming up as well. For all
of us at Chelsea it is a huge motivation. Our club reached the semi-finals
of this competition, but did not get any further. We want to break this
run this year and reach the final. We definitely have the potential to
make it."
Chelsea have also progressed well in the Carling Cup and face Everton in
the second leg of the semi-final on Wednesday night after taking a 2-1
advantage in the first leg.
Cech believes the cup, which is often bemoaned by top clubs, could provide
them with inspiration for the rest of the campaign if they can go on to
make the final in February and win the competition.
"In the Carling Cup we are not far from reaching the final after having
made a solid position ahead of the second leg with Everton, which I
believe we will make the most of and go through," he said.
"The Carling Cup may not be the main trophy but it is the first one you
can win in the season and winning it gives the team the right spirit for
the remainder of the campaign. The feeling of having one trophy won
already is really delightful.
"We have been doing pretty well in the Premier League, now we have won
four times in a row and it is important that we stay in contact with
Arsenal and Manchester United.
"Arsenal lost points at home to Birmingham last week and it just signifies
that every team can lose points. I think the title race will be very even
and interesting."
