CTA's `gridlock budget' would cut transit 20%
Agency calls for $82.5 million state bailout

More than one-fifth of bus and rail operations would be
scrapped and customers would have to wait longer and walk
farther for their rides under a "gridlock budget" the Chicago
Transit Authority reluctantly proposed Monday.

According to the proposal, there would be no service
on purple line train after 10 pm.
In addition, the hours of purple line express to downtown
are shorten.

   Besides, for the Red line and Blue line, there'll be no
   service between 1am to 4am in the future. :(

There are service cuts in Orange Line and Brown Line as well.
I don't remember the details though.

CTA 說是要賭今年上半年可以從州議會拿到更多錢
所以暫時維持原來的班次
到七月的時候在改變


BTW, 從今年1/1起
54th/Cermak branch 週六和週日也有班車行駛了
就只剩下yellow line是週末停駛的
