Bulls: Chicago was forced to trade its most effective offensive player last
season, Eddy Curry, after a dispute over a DNA test for his heart ailment
threatened to keep him out all season.

Replacing his production won't be easy, especially on a team as short of
scoring power as Chicago. The Bulls got 22.3 points per 40 minutes from Curry,
who also shot 53.8 percent from the floor, and will have to replace that with
newly acquired Michael Sweetney and Tim Thomas.

But don't weep for the Bulls just yet.

Sweetney will start at power forward while Tyson Chandler to move to his
natural center position, and he could replace much of Curry's missing post
production. Sweetney shot even better than Curry at 53.1 percent, and while
his 17.1 points per 40 minutes doesn't touch Curry's, he's a vastly superior
rebounder (11.0 to 7.5 per 40).

Thomas should also figure into the mix and could help with his deep shooting,
especially early in the year while Luol Deng is still recovering from last
season's wrist injury.

The only potential pitfall is the Bulls now are dangerously thin at center,
with former Heat reserve Malik Allen shaping up as Chandler's primary backup.


大意其實跟昨天各位版友分析的差不多

明年應該就是Chandler先發中鋒   Sweetney先發大前

這裡拿Sweetney跟Curry比較

以每場40分鐘的數據來說   Curry(22.3p)是勝過Sweetney(17.1)的

不過  他認為公牛迷不用太傷心

因為Sweetney的籃板數(11.0)比 Curry的7.5還要多不少

而且Sweetney一個六呎八的大前   命中率高達53%

的確是有他的一套

T.Thomas被認為在Deng球季初復健期間可以補上他的外線能力

而唯一的隱憂   也是昨日大家的哀嚎

中鋒的Size.....

球評認為Malik Allen可能會是第一替補

(不過我認為會是A.Davis...如果他有回來的話~)

推 EdJay:Curry的價值不在他的籃板  而是他佔公牛禁區攻擊很大一部分
→ EdJay:所以我很擔心沒了禁區的威脅  對手只需要盯我們的外線就好
推 Grant44:同意這點, Curry防守雖然爛, 不過低位的攻擊大概是NBA頂尖
→ Grant44:的, 少了他的禁區威力不是等閒人能夠補上的

If the Chicago Bulls want to muster any fight against the Pistons in the
Central Division this season, they had better find themselves another big
man. Or two.

"Yeah, they are definitely different without Eddy (Curry) and Antonio (Davis)
in there," said Chauncey Billups, after the Pistons opened their exhibition
season with an 87-76 romp over the Bulls before a sellout crowd (11,130) at
Van Andel Arena.

"Their guards are going to have to do a lot more scoring to keep them afloat.
They don't have the same post presence they had."
