Still hopeful of a return to the league next season, ex-Bulls guard Jay
Williams resumed workouts at Hoops the Gym near the United Center recently.
Reports were not optimistic, however.
"Not good," said one source who witnessed Williams in action. "His first
step isn't close to what it used to be, and for him, that means everything."
Two years ago, Williams suffered a fractured pelvis and torn ligaments in
his left knee in a motorcycle accident.
After Williams and the Bulls reached an agreement on a buyout of his
contract, he accepted a position as an ESPN broadcaster.
