from an aged old Introspective post:
I've been asked by Kirsty to post this one (as she's at Homelands at
the moment and can't do it herself)

The '80s seemed to be brimming with pop people who had questionable
sexuality and gender, but they didn't seem very fond of each other.
The press gleefully printed bitchy snips thrown into the tabloid arena
by the colourful and outspoken celebrities. Jimmy is laughing before
the question of their current compatibility is even raised, 'Has time
healed? I get on much better with Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe.
Apparently at Wayne Shires birthday party I gave Chris Lowe a black
eye...unintentionally. He was trying to be all laddy and raucous with
me, and of course he picked the wrong one, being an 'ol fiery
red-head. There was that whole episode of me supposedly outing them,
and it was something I never intentionally wanted to do. That was just
a big mistake with one of the music papers. I've always got on with
Andy Bell, but he's an odd bird, I've always thought, anyway. I did
actually bang into him once in a bush on Hampstead Heath, it was
hilarious. The two of us walked into this bush...and then we just
bolted and were pissing ourselves afterwards. I was having
palpitations, thinking, what if I'd stretched out my hand and caressed
the willy of Andy Bell. I was terrified.. You know when you do
something, like nearly getting on a plane that crashes...it's the same
feeling, heart attacks for weeks.
[excerpt end]
It then goes on to talk about Boy George and George Michael. It's
quite a funny article but I can't post it all (too long).
