聽說有一堆大喀要做smashing pumpkins的tribute album
最誇張的是: new order 1979

johnny marr/ simon le bon perfect
(不用說) (duran duran主音)
其實其他的也很誇張, 我看到下巴差點掉下來.

A new Pumpkins tribute cd in the works
As Chicago pop band The Smashing Pumpkins prepare to bow out of the music
scene with one last tour of the major cities this fall, imusic.com has
learned of a compilation tribute album set to be released next year, possibly
in mid-Spring. Such luminaries as Depeche Mode, Simon Le Bon, PJ Harvey and
even R&B diva Missy Elliot are set to record tracks in upcoming months in
homage to the Pumpkins, who recently announced that they would split at the
years end. The expected tracklisting is as follows:
1979: New Order
Love: Filter
Bullet With Butterfly Wings: Placebo
33: R.E.M.
Crestfallen: The Human League
The Everlasting Gaze (instrumental interpretation): The Aphex Twin
Beautiful: Missy Elliot
Tonight, Tonight: PJ Harvey
Take Me Down: Ric Ocasek
Ugly: Chris Cornell
Luna: Tricky feat. Beth Gibbons
Sweet,Sweet: Robert Smith
Tristessa: Nick Cave feat. Orbital
Perfect: Johnny Marr & Simon Le Bon
With Every Light: Depeche Mode
This album will of course be in addition to the next Pumpkin's LP, the follow
up to this year's MACHINA/the machines of God, which the band are currently
finishing off in a Chicago recording studio. It is not yet known what lable
the tribute CD will be distributed under.
