The gothic synth-popsters return with their first offering in four years.
Taken from forthcoming new album 'Exciter', this single finds Dave Gahan,
Martin Gore and Andy Fletcher in mellow mood.
A skittery drum beat mixes with some bluesy acoustic guitar and sad synths
with Gahan's familiar breathy and intense tones getting all wound up about
some inner demon kind of thang.
A fine and compelling tune, though not quite what the pop kids of today
are after. Perhaps they'll be bowled over by the pumpin' 'Bushwacka Tough
Guy Mix', the pared down and beautiful instrumental 'Dave Clarke Acoustic
Version', the synthy noodling and Warp-style experimental noises of the
'Octagon Man Mix' or the eerily atmospheric instrumental of the 'Kid 606
Mix'. There's something for everyone ladies and gents.
