Speedy and solid defender who has been a regular in the Portugal squad
since making his debut in April 2001.

Andrade broke into the Porto team as a 19-year-old after joining them
from Estela da Amadora and soon became indispensable, impressing so
much that several of Europe's biggest clubs tabled hefty bids for him.

Porto managed to keep hold of their young star at that stage but when
Deportivo came calling with a ?0million bid last summer, they buckled
and Andrade left.

His career at the Riazor started in disastrous fashion as he broke his
foot on his league debut, but as soon as he returned to action he
settled into the Deportivo backline like a seasoned veteran.

Cool and composed, Andrade is rarely flustered and will rarely be caught
out of position. One to watch.
