After the horrible, horrible news that Steve Carell may be ending his Office
stint after next season (and consequently, it would seem, the show itself),
the fate of ABC's Desperate Housewives looks like it's already sealed too.
Deadline.com is reporting that the alphabet is toying with the idea of a
two-season pickup as the curtain call for the dramedy.


ABC, the source adds, has already made deals with most of Housewives'
writers, while creator and showrunner Marc Cherry, embroiled as he is in a
lawsuit from Nicolette Sheridan, is signed up for the next three years. His
final year will be spent developing a new show once Desperate Housewives
wraps, something that ABC bigwigs have been asking for quite some time now.

The actresses - Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Eva Longoria Parker and
Marcia Cross - all have signed up until season 7, and negotiations for a
two-year extension hasn't exactly been fruitful, the source adds.

主角們都簽約演到第七季  多演兩季這件事還在溝通中

The news, however, runs contrary to something Cherry said in 2008, when he
revealed that he envisioned DH to run for 9 seasons.

很顯然的  雖然曾經說過要演到第九季  但現在看起來前景不樂觀

Some fans say eight seasons for the ABC series are quite enough, considering
the things it had to go through, time-jumps, killing off characters, and
others, in an effort to keep things fresh.

有些人說八季真的已經很夠了  畢竟感覺也弄不出什麼新梗了

→ HIMYM:國特別紅.才連帶造成很多台灣人對這部有過高的期望.基本上
→ HIMYM:就是功能性的小品罷了 跟DH這種曾是全美demo前幾名本就不同
