Came out of the bag on June 23, 2000. Idea for the Bobcat came from Brantley
Bell, oldest son of Diamondbacks second baseman Jay Bell. Brantley suggested
the name BOB Cat for the mascot because the Diamondbacks play in Bank One
Ballpark, commonly referred to as the BOB. Baxter makes numerous public
appearances, including visits to hospitals, schools, charitable events and
corporate events. If you would like Baxter at your next event, contact the

at least 30 days prior to the event. Fees for Baxter's visit vary upon the
type of event.
