   前提...Schilling提到球場屋頂開與否對他投球的影響


Roof

   The ball does travel better to left with the roof open,
no question and backed up by 5 years of stats. Bottom line is
I have a better chance of not giving up HR with it closed, and
you pay to watch us play, and win. So I did ask to have it closed
when I pitch, because I feel it gives me the best chance to win
that night, period. The other problem, and you all might think this
is a moot point, but it isn't, is that it's VERY VERY dry when the
roof is open, which makes it hard to control any breaking balls you
hav to grip tightly or uneven finger pressure with. WIth the roof
closed it's very easy to work up a sweat and keep the fingers moist.

   I'm pretty sure you pay to see me win, not just pitch, and I try
to make sure that happens every single time I take the mound.
