: 另外球團制服組宣布簽下第三輪右投手Dallas Buck Right-hander Dallas Buck began his Diamondbacks’career with a stop in the doctor’s office. Buck agreed to a signing bonus of about $250,000 two weeks after helping Oregon State to the College World Series championship but remains a candidate for Tommy John surgery. Buck, the D-Backs’first of two third-round June draft choices, was given an MRI on his right elbow after signing following a college season in which he was plagued with forearm soreness. The D-Backs are waiting for medical evaluation but appear to believe surgery is a foregone conclusion. Buck, 6-foot-3 and 210 pounds, entered the 2006 season projected as a high first-round draft choice based on his mid-90s fastball before the injury dropped his velocity. Still, he was 13-3 with a 3.44 ERA and was the winning pitcher with an inning of relief in the 3-2 victory over North Carolina in the championship game of the College World Series. "Dallas Buck is a warrior," Oregon State pitching coach Dan Spencer told Baseball America at the CWS. "He bleeds winning.’’ Buck had 97 strikeouts in 128 1/3 innings while limiting opponents to a .221 batting average. Buck was the Pac-10 pitcher of the year in 2005, when he was 12-1 with a 2.09 ERA and had a win and a save in an NCAA super regional victory over USC to push the Beavers to the College World Series. Talks with No. 11 pick on hold It has been more than a month since the draft, but negotiations still have yet to begin between the Diamondbacks and top pick Max Scherzer. The holdup appears to be the go-between. Scherzer's agent, Scott Boras, has spent time recently out of the country; he is said to have been in Japan recruiting star pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka. "He's been out of the country, and we understand that," said Mike Rizzo, Diamondbacks vice president of scouting. "We made contact with (Boras') representatives but there's nothing concrete, nothing definitive to report on the progress." Scherzer, a right-hander from the University of Missouri, was the No. 11 overall pick. The players drafted before and after Scherzer have signed, getting bonuses reportedly worth $2.03 million and $1.6 million, respectively. Rizzo is still hopeful Scherzer will sign in time to pitch for the Diamondbacks by the end of the summer. "I think we've got a guy who wants to play for the Diamondbacks," he said. Rizzo said talks have picked up in frequency recently with second-round pick Brett Anderson, a left-hander out of Stillwater (Okla.) High. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 219.70.17.38
