Yankees acquired RHP Jeremy Ward from the Diamondbacks
for a player to be named and assigned him to Double-A Trenton.
Ward was a very good relief prospect a few years ago, but injuries
have left him looking like a major longshot. He had allowed 13 runs
10 earned -- in 11 2/3 innings between Double- and Triple-A this season.
