新幾內亞的海洋無脊椎動物多樣性非常高，特別是後鰓亞綱的海蛞蝓，在這裡長期潛水大
開了我的眼界，許多從前只在書本上看到的海蛞蝓，都活生生出現在我面鏡前，大幅增進
了我的分類功力以及對後鰓亞綱的興趣。我發現要細分後鰓亞綱的目不是非常容易，特別
整理出我的實戰心法：
Heahshield slugs有盾牌狀的頭部，沒有Rhinophores。其中有明顯的外殼的叫bubble
snail泡螺。墾丁後壁湖常見的「藍寶堅尼」就是headshield slugs，有被包起來的
internal shell。
Sapsucking slug幾乎都吃藻類，蠻多種類都是綠色的，分兩大類：有泡泡狀殼跟無殼的
，沒有殼的外套膜會形成滿身的皺摺。Rhinophores捲起來呈管狀，「美葉」就是我們最
熟悉的代表。
問題來了，如何分辨sapsucking slugs和海兔？一樣也有rolled rhinophore也一樣吃素
，也有parapoda/parapodia。分辨的關鍵在於seahare有oral tentacle，而sapsucking
slug沒有。但還要搞清楚一點，sidegill slugs也有rolled rhinophores和oral
tentacle，但sidegill slugs的右下側可見鰓。剩下的就是Nudibranchs了。
Nudibranch又分成四種：
Doridina：屁股開花
Dendronotina：代表種Melibe
Arminina：有oral veil
Aeolidina：長身體 有cerata
其中Doridina又分成三類：
Cryptobranch小花可以縮回去。
Porostome小花可以縮回去（但Phyllidiidae科例外，鰓在身體旁邊，屁屁不開花），頭
和身體融合在一起。
Phanerobranch小花無法縮回去。
如果以上太複雜，可以只記怎麼分headshield
slugs/sapsuckingslugs/seahares/sidegill slugs/nudibranchs
沒有Rhinophores=>Headshield slugs(用sensory bristles)
有 Rhinophores=>
elaborate shapes=>Nudibranchs
rolled=>
without oral tentacles=>sapsucking slugs
with oral tentacles=>
gills located on the right side under their mantle=>sidegill slugs
gills not located on the right side under their mantle=>seahares
簡單來說，就是用Rhinophores + oral tentacle + gill的特徵來快速判斷，先看看有沒
有Rhinophores，如果沒有那就是headshield slugs，如果有，就看看形狀，如果不是管
狀，而是比較複雜的形狀，那就是Nudibranchs。如果是管狀，那就要看看有沒有oral
tentacle，如果沒有，那就是sapsucking slugs，如果有，那就看看有沒有side gill，
如果有那就是sidegill slugs，如果沒有，那就是seahares。
