Dodgers Sign Cuban Infielder Alexander Guerrero

The Dodgers have struck again in the international Market, signing 26-year

old Cuban infielder Alexander Guerrero for $30M.  Several teams had been

scouting Guerrero, but more than a month ago he made it clear he had an offer

in the $30M vicinity, and most teams backed off.

Guerrero played shortstop in Cuba, but US teams are wary of his range and

arm. “He’s a second baseman for me,” says one international scouting

director.
