在浮世中尋求一絲睡意
越是一個混沌的世界，就越需要哲思來將之辯證，哲學家努力的為人們在這浮世中探求一道真理，而探究的過程中屢屢衍生出更多龐雜的問題，諸多問題往往就是提問本身的解答，所以越來越多的沉默，寂靜隨即掩埋了眾聲喧嘩。當人們選擇閉上雙嘴，才逐漸察覺閉上雙眼變得是種奢求，這兩者是互通的，既然浮世雜亂無解，目光也只剩下期望，荒謬便油然而生．．．
貝克特只要碰巧路過巴黎，他都會去拜訪詹姆斯‧喬伊斯，與他長時間地交談──儘管有謠傳說他們大部分時候都是相對無言，沉浸在悲傷之中。別役實說他的素材基本上是人們日常生活的平凡皺褶；正因為異乎尋常的平凡，它又超脫了日常生活。透過對拼命在日常生活中悄悄掙扎的人的描寫，引導人們正視一下過去自己所遭受的孤獨和對未來更美好的世界的嚮往。
孤寂似乎離不開我們，但睡意卻隨之遠去，越是急欲擺脫孤獨，孤獨便越是襲擊而來，美麗總是發生在未來，所以「天天開心」被歸類為願望，人們總是等待著朦朧的睡意來臨，而無法下定決心的去尋求睡眠本身．．．
