When Walter and Co. return on April 1, fans aren’t just in for two months of
uninterrupted episodes. They can also count on another trip to the
alterna-verse, huge reveals (“There are very few questions the series has
addressed that aren’t quite substantively answered,” promises consulting
producer Akiva Goldsman) and a few songs along the way. Yes, Fringe is boldly
going to deliver us a musical episode.

“The whole concept was so out of left field that it caught us all off guard,
” laughs John Noble of the April 29th hour built around Walter’s bedtime
tale to Olivia’s niece, which finds the cast crooning their hearts out in a
film-noir setting. “It’s remarkable. When I heard some of the actors sing…
Lance [Reddick] has an extraordinary voice, Anna has a beautiful voice…and
Jasika [Nicole]? Wow!”

哈哈哈 Oliv和Astrid都會開口唱歌耶!XD

Other surprises will come, courtesy of Peter finally learning the truth about
his past, upcoming guest appearances by Peter Weller and Martha Plimpton and
the return of Leonard Nimoy, who’s back for the two-part season finale as
Dr. Bishop’s former lab partner in crime, William Bell. While everyone on
set maintained an impressive spoiler-free stance regarding whatever Bell has
been up to on the other side, Nimoy did give TV Guide Magazine a tease to
hold us over until his May appearances. “I think the most important thing is
that Walter and William will have their confrontation,” he admits. “That is
what the audience has been waiting for.”
