    謝謝大家對書蟲女孩的支持與建議，這次在排版上又有一些不同，希望大家會喜歡這
樣的模式，也歡迎大家多給我一些意見：）本來上週五想再發一篇最新一季最新一集摩登
家庭的看影集學英文，但最近實在太忙了，無法空出時間一週寫兩篇整理，大家就先複習
一下最早的摩登家庭吧！童星們小時候都好可愛呀～～

劇情提要：
Phil 為了向 Claire 證明他和 Jay 的感情很好，決定和 Jay 共度一個下午，結果 Jay
直接把遙控飛機撞到 Phil 臉上；Claire 和 Manny 像大人般的聊心事；Gloria 帶 Alex
去逛街聊心事；Mitch 從原本鄙視Costco變成愛上Costco而瘋狂購物。

facetious (adj.) 開玩笑的
saying things that are intended to be clever and funny but are really silly and
annoying.
→ Claire: I was just being facetious.


snob (n.) 自視甚高的人
1.someone who thinks they are better than other people from a lower social
class.
2.someone who thinks they are better than other people because they know more
about something.
→ Cam: Mitchell is a snob.


discerning (adj.) 有見識的人
showing the ability to make good judgements, especially about art, music,
style etc.
→ Mitchell: I'm discerning.
補充：
discern (v.) 辨別
1.to notice or understand something  by thinking about it carefully.
2.to be able to see something by looking carefully.
→例句：He is incapable of discerning right from wrong.


walk on eggshells: to watch what you say or do around a certain person
because anything might set him or her off. 中文比較相近的成語是如履薄冰/畏縮的
→ Claire：We have been married for 16 years and you still walk on
eggshells around him.


asterisk (n.) 記號
a mark like a star(*), used especially to show something interesting or
important.
→ Phil: Jay and I are buds, for sure but with kind of an invisible
asterisk.


provoke (v.) 引發/惹惱
1. to cause a reaction or a feeling, especially a sudden one.→provoke debate
2. to make someone angry, especially deliberately.
→ Claire:Your thing is to provoke, just like your sister's thing is to
never come out from her room.


poacher (n.) 盜獵者
someone who illegally catches or shoots animals ,birds, or fish, especially on
private land without permission.


general store (n.) 雜貨店
general merchandise store, general dealer or village shop is a rural or small
town store that carries a general line of merchandises.


boisterous (adj.) 興奮、聒噪的
someone especially a child, who is boisterous makes a lot of noise and has a
lot of energy.
→ Cam:He kept rolling his eyes every time I would get a little
boisterous.


charades (n.) 比手畫腳遊戲
a game in which one person uses actions and no words to show the meaning of a
word or phrase or other people have to guess what it is.
→ Mitchell:We were playing charades.


shed (n.) 小儲藏室
a small building often made of woods, used especially for storing things.
→ Mitchell: They sell sheds.


thread (v.) 穿引
to put a thread ,string, rope etc through a hole
例句：Will you thread a needle for me?
這邊 Jay 用 tread a needle 來意指遙控飛機穿過呼拉圈


loopy (adj.)  頭昏腦脹的
describing a state of goofiness usually occurring after a long night of
partying or any other activity that provokes sleep deprivation.
→ Jay: He is a little loopy.


§摩登家庭小趣聞：這集當中 Luke 很蠢的紙箱套頭在彈簧墊上跳來跳去，但現實生
活中他可是門薩集團（為世界上規模最大及歷史最長的高智商同好組織）中的一員，IQ高
達150，13歲時就透過考試獲得高中文憑，目前已經開始自修一些大學課程了！
