    書蟲女孩在出國前本來已經把這篇文章幾乎打好也在網站排程了，可是就在前幾天發
生了一件小意外，這篇文章就徹底消失了！！！所以無奈的我今天回到台灣之後就只好把
這篇文章重打了一遍，所有單字也都要重新查一遍，真是有種槌心肝的感覺。真心希望所

Modern Family season 1 episode 15-- My Funky Valentine

書蟲女孩很喜歡摩登家庭中具有主題性的幾集，例如萬聖節、聖誕節、情人節等等，這集
就是我的最愛之一。本集敘述三對情侶如何度過他們的情人節，Phil 和 Claire 決定玩
角色扮演，度過一個刺激的情人節，可是不小心玩太大差點造成尷尬的場面； Cam 和
Mitch 則是幫 Manny 討回公道，雖然最終 Manny 的戀情還是失敗了，但 Mitch 小小滿足
了他工作上長久的渴望；Jay 帶 Gloria 去看笑話脫口秀，最後 Gloria 樂在其中，Jay
反而被主持人惹惱。我個人在這集笑到不行的部分是 Gloria 解救了衣服被卡住的 Claire
之後 ，Claire 的內衣褲從外套中掉出來，重點是 Phil 還把內衣踢飛，場面既尷尬又好
笑！

mallet (n.) 木槌

Gloria: Does he have a mallet ?

boa (n.) 羽毛圍巾

Mitch: You just cut up one of your boas.

trump (v.) 擊敗
to do better than someone else in a situation when people are competing with
each other
Phil: Did he trump me ? D-money.

petal (n.) 花瓣
one of the coloured parts of a flower that are shaped like leaves
Mitch: Are these rose petals ?

commemorate (v.) 宣揚
to do something to show  that you remember and respect someone important or an
 important event in the past
Cam: Yes, to commemorate our love.

Sb be a catch 理想對象
A spectacular find, as in dating or marriage.
Cam: Well, you mom might think so, but a lot of people think I’m a catch.

merit badge (n.) 童軍徽章
a badge award to Boy Scouts in recognition of special projects
Claire: Tell me, would you be interested in earning a merit badge tonight.

an advantage or good feature of something
badge (n.)
a small piece of metal, cloth, or a plastic with a picture or words on it, worn
to show rank, membership of a group, support for a political idea etc.

alleged  (adj.) 所謂的
(formal) an alleged crime,fact, etc is one that someone says has happened or is
 true, although it has not been proved:alleged offence/crime/incident
nagging (adj.) 囉唆的
making you worry or feel pain slightly all the time ; always complaining
Claire: I wanna  go back to these alleged lists and your nagging wife.

是 ABC 宣布9/21 第八季的第一集就會首播了，書蟲女孩也會定期追蹤相關的新聞跟大家
