Key boad setting depends on your x-client/shell program and its settings.
For example, if I use putty to login onto ccws*, I see the first set. However,
if I use SecureCRT to login onto the same machine, I see the second.
In short, there's no right or wrong. Hopefully your setting is the first one
so that you can use the first set (the default code now).
