Tsao better: According to general manager Dan O'Dowd, the shoulder of right-handed closer Chin-hui Tsao -- which turned up sore on Wednesday, the last day he pitched -- felt "100 percent better" on Saturday. Tsao played catch, the first step toward working back into game action and seeing how his arm rebounds from the frequent work a closer gets.
"He wasn't anywhere near when he was hurt last year [he missed time with a sore labrum], it was just an inflamed [rotator] cuff from overuse," said O'Dowd. "That's why I'm not alarmed about it. If it's an ongoing thing, I'll be alarmed."
O'Dowd said that Tsao, 23 and in his first season as a full-time reliever, will have to be chiefly responsible for protecting the arm from overuse.
"The biggest thing that, hopefully, Tsao will learn out of this, which is something [head trainer Keith Dugger] is going to talk to him about, is if he's not feeling right, he should not go out there," said O'Dowd, who added that Hurdle, pitching coach Bob Apodaca and bullpen coach Rick Matthews also will have to keep Tsao's arm health in mind when planning his warmups and game appearances.
看起來應該不會有太大問題.希望小曹能及早適應這種熱身的方式
