After getting the big lift from Acevedo's three-pitch out to end the eighth,
Hurdle turned to closer Chin-hui Tsao to protect the seven-run lead in the
ninth inning.

"There was nobody else that was going to pitch that inning," Hurdle said,
acknowledging the importance of slamming the door regardless of the size of

Tsao showed a tendency toward turbulence, walking the first batter and giving
up a one-out single, but he retired the final two batters with confidence.
"He went after people," Hurdle said. "He's letting it go and he's throwing
strikes. I think he's embraced the role, and he's just going out there and
pitching like he feels. He threw some good sliders, he mixed in his changeup
and his fastball obviously was live. We'll let him run with this for a while,
and see where it takes us."
一開始曹錦輝顯的有些許不穩，保送了首位打者，並且於一出局後再被敲了一支一壘
安打，不過他接下來自信地連續解決兩名打者，Hrudle說:他知道要抓出局數，他不管
被打安打及壘包上的跑者，專注於投出好球，我認為他已經懂得如何扮演這角色，他站
上投手丘並且能投出自己所想要的球，他投了幾顆好的滑球，並搭配他的變速球，而快
速球顯然也很有速度，我們將讓他擔任這角色一段期間，並且看看這段時間這位終結者
能把洛磯隊引領至何方。
