It's his story, and he's sticking to it: In his first relief appearance, on Saturday night, right-handed closer Chin-hui Tsao's fastball was clocked at 98 mph by the radar gun that registers on the Coors Field scoreboard. On Monday, the reading was 100. Tsao's explanation of Monday's reading was the same as the one he gave Saturday "I don't know, must be the gun," he said with a laugh. The only 100 mph pitch Tsao hasn't questioned was one he threw for Taiwan during the 2004 Olympics. The last Rockies pitcher to hit triple digits was reliever Craig House in 2000, but manager Clint Hurdle noted that there is "a difference in the effort" the pitchers used. House had a violent motion -- his head jerked one way, the shoulder the other. "Tsao looks more effortless, but he throws it hard," Hurdle said. -- 飆吧飆吧..希望下山也可以看到100 mph!!! -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 140.120.130.210
