這兩個單字，讓我覺得都是 "被冒犯" 的意思
可是，查了一下網站 發現好像有些許的出入
可惜，看了不是很懂，想請教一下諸位大大

You need the adjective offensive here. You would have to use offending more
in a verbal sense or as an adjective suggesting some kind of active meaning.
So we can say:
Please remove the offending remarks from the letter - in the sense that they
could cause offence.
Please remove the offensive remarks from the letter - in the sense that they
have already caused offence.
