[文法] 請問一個關於It is...that 強調用法

[tufts (garrison finish)]

請問一下

Those people bought books for Linda last year.

如果我現在想強調的部分是"those people"

當在用It is...that句型時

It was those people that bought books for Linda last year. 是這樣嗎?
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

我的問題是:

當強調部分的名詞是複數型時，前面仍然是用It was...that嗎?

如果用Thay were去強調似乎也怪異

因為我查了一般文法書 都只有強調部分是單數型的例子

所以想請問一下 謝謝囉
