以下是我的英文老師寫給我的一些關於Reading的建議,分享給大家: Reading: In general my advice is to read longer pieces of writing - not just newspaper articles. Short stories or novels are best. There are a number of reasons for this: * Articles are only one type of English writing and you need to learn all types. * The best English is always found in novels. * Reading short pieces seems easier but it really means you must start again each time - by reading a longer piece of writing you get to know the writing style so that by the time you are part-way through you know all the characters, themes and main vocabulary and can read much easier. Having said all this, the golden rules for reading are: 1. Only read what you enjoy reading - if you are bored you will learn nothing. More effort does not necessarily mean more result when it comes to reading. 2. Read at your level - this means you should understand most words and be able to guess the few words you do not know from context. If you need to use a dictionary more than occasionally then the level is too hard. Read something else! 3. Read lots and lots. For reading to really help, you should be doing a lot everyday - in this case quantity is more important than quality. But start easy - with what you can do and gradually read more. Don't start with fancy promises and then give up because it is too hard. If you follow these rules your reading will be productive. 以上希望大家參考看看囉 -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 218.164.86.146
