說到剽竊，還有一個字叫 plagiarism，動詞是 plagiarize，很不錯的
字，值得一記^^

True. But I think plagiarism is used when you copy, or quote someone else's
work without report the source. For example, if I publish a report on some
magazine, and someone else quote me, or copy it without mention my name, and
where did he see it, it'll count as Plagiarism.
On the other hand, piracy is used when you copy games, softwares. So I think
this word is used more often when you "duplicate something".
Well, that's just how I feel when I use those words. :P
On the side note, there's a little joke I remember, that some grad students
major in semi-conductor in my school created a DVD burner like 5 years ago,
which can burn almost any DVD you can think about, so they name it "Captain
Hook" (虎克船長), since he's the meanest pirate......:P

Yes, I know exactly what you mean. My understanding to those
words is just like yours.
Why I mentioned "plagiarism" then is just because I saw the
Chinese translation "剽竊". So I specially picked it out to
share this vocabulary to others, and there's no direct rela-
tion to the original question.
Your comments is good, thanks for that^^
Sometimes I'll use a "spider-web" way, which is named by me,
to connect Chinese translation to English vocabulary. I also
group those words having similar meanings together to boost
my memory. That's an efficient way to learning English. You
can give it a try.
